Hi all,

I just received the HBR CD book and have spent the past couple of hours
perusing it. It is an engaging and valuable collection of articles,
letters, notes, references and information covering Ted Crosby's legendary
series of radios. Jay has done an incredible and extremely professional job
of pulling this vast base of knowledge into a captivating and easily
navigable compendium. He is obviously a meticulous person who cares about
accuracy and attention to detail. This CD certainly belongs in the library
of anyone who has even the slightest interest in the HBR series, home
brewing, or even insight to the product development process.

The CD is professionally produced and even packaged in a DVD storage case.
It is easily worth many times the paltry $10 Jay is asking. It must have
been truly a love-of-labor on his part, and the rest of us are the
beneficiaries.

Thank you, Jay!!

Tom K7PJT

BTW, as a disclaimer, I have no connection with Jay and this project. I am
simply a very appreciative recipient who wants to see the good word spread.

My e-book on "The HBR Adventure", started some 3 years ago, has finally
been completed, and is now available to those having interest in the
way-back-then people, amateur radio home-brew, as well as the past and
present technology of the Crosby HBR double superheterodyne hot-cathode
receiver designs. For a more detailed book description and
how-to-order-details, go to www.w6hht.com.

This ordering window will be open until August 31st. Orders will be
batched, produced in runs of 20 - 30 e-books until all the orders are
filled and shipped. The next ordering window will occur in November so
as to make the book available for Christmas.

I have no intention to create an inventory of books for sale, but rather
to operate a process by which books will be produced and shipped to
specific order. That process, run in 2 cycles during 2009, may be
repeated in 2010, depending upon interest in the book.

Most unexpectedly, and coincident with opening the ordering window, I
find I must change my web host for www.w6hht.com. Within the next ten
days, there is probability that my web page may go down as the domain
registry shifts from one registrar to another. This interruption should
be brief; its timing and duration is far beyond my span of control.

If/when www.w6hht.com does go off the air, it does not mean I have left
the planet and taken the e-books with me. Please be patient, "stay
tuned", and www.w6hht.com will shortly thereafter re-appear (along with
the HBR e-books!) supported by a different (and much more caring) web host.

If you wish to order the book while my web site is down, contact me
directly at w6hht at arrl.net and I can provide you with ordering forms and
information by e-mail.

This e-mail is a general notification to members of the HBR forum
visiting this web page, and is not a solicitation to anyone. If you
wish to discuss the book with me, please do so direct at
w6hht at arrl.net. I will not respond to any book inquiries made on this
forum.
