Part two.one failed to go through, so it has been split into two parts.
This is
the first.

Unfortunately the tube they used is a 6AJ8, the 9 pin miniature
version of the 6K8 triode-heptode. So there's no way to use the same
tube for the oscillator, even if I wanted to. I am going to try to use
the W6TC ECO scheme. Because different tubes have different electron
transit times, they produce different phase shifts and you get
different tracking, particularly in high frequency wide band circuits.
However, this is NOT a wide band design; that issue should be minor.
