Traditionally hams have used 1kV diodes in series
(with equalizing capacitors/resistors) to rectify higher voltages.
Shown in any ARRL Handbook from the past 40-some years.
K2AW's Silicon Alley sells little modules with 1kV diodes
already stacked to higher voltages for you. Not sure if K2AW
has a web presence or not.
There are some commercial stacks for more than 1kV but they
are very pricey.
