Well, it went for $568.  I had the second high bid.  It was a very nice 
receiver, but there'll be another, one of these days.

Meanwhile I'm chewing along with mounting parts on the GC-HBR project 
and looking at re-kitting the G3RKK receiver.  That one's almost a 
from-scratch, except for the really unique parts.  Even a lot of the 
standard items can't be recycled -- the builder used 6 mm extension 
shafts on 1/4" controls with 1/4" bushings in the panel.  The Eddystone 
dial is there, the front end assembly with coils and bandswitch, and the 
IFTs ... don't know about the 2nd oscillator crystal but the BFO coil is 
there.

It's an interesting radio -- a UK approach to the U.S. HBR-series 
(though I don't know which came first) -- and probably much rarer here 
than the HBRs.

I'll order the chassis and panel for it as a consolation prize, hi.
