Walt,
This is, perhaps, a bit off topic, but you brought it up.
I am a supporter of animal rights. Even so, most animal rights movements  
want to do away 
( rightly so ) with animal medical testing and murdering ( hunting) small  
animals, but greatly support pets.
How can this possibly be occupying your time away from radio ?

Unfortunately our retirement 
is being eaten by the damn animal  rights movement which would like to 
get rid of all the pets on the way to  eliminating all domesticated 
animals, all hunting, use of animals for  medical testing ...
