Labor value (condidering workmanship and knowledge etc.) in building
a HBR-16 from scratch is in the several thousand dollar range (assuming
you can get all the parts off-the-shelf and it can be assembled/
aligned in a 40 hour work week).

Most of use do much more puttering and tinkering and realistically it is
several hundreds of hours put into a HBR-16 with all the "fun" of fooling
around with it.

Add the overhead/hassle of dealing with a nutcase who doesn't
understand what he really wants and you have to increase the price
by a factor of 5 to 10.

Resulting cost to the nutcase who both knows exactly what he wants ("a
HBR-16") and doesn't know what he wants ("digital readout") would
have to be in the $20K or more range.

Tim.
