Don't mess with those crystals.   They're the first major-production plated 
crystals ever (right folks?) and they're not easy to move without destroying 
them.   

Instead add or subtract the same amount from all crystal frequencies until 
you reach a set you can fill.   Then retune the IFTs -- they'll probably go 25 
kcs at least, quite likely more than that.

I'd suggest testing your crystals in some sort of oscillator before trying to 
make up a filter.   Quite a few FT-241's are dead now.
