[HBR] HBR 2006

This may elicit some response for which I have my flame proof suit ready
and may have to wash my mind with soap .....but being one who builds
StreetRods as well as Antique Restorations .......and HBRs ......how
about a --real-- state of the art "HBR" using the existing appearance,
frontend, and tuning but stop at the 1st IF and install one of Tony
Parks' Softrock 160m boards (kit available for only $14) .......interface
that to your computer sound card and have one of the best Software
Defined Radios with roofing filters, variable BPFs, DSP, panoramic
display, etc that's available today ?? This can also be done with any
other radio (I think). Hey, an SDR ARC-5 or BC-348 ?? ....just take over
at the first IF.
