Speaking of computer defined radios.......
do you home brew a receiver or is computer defined radios strictly done
with a storebought receiver?
If anyone has ever played with PSK31 and listened to the receiving
signals that were real weak, you
can barely detect there is something out there with your ear, yet a
solid train of text goes streaming
by on the screen. I can see how the sound card digital signal processing
can make a great detection
filter.
Is there any receiver projects that use the PC as a DSP filter and
produce AUDBILE output on the PC speakers
that you get to hear for yourself, not just make a visual display to
detect weak signals.
I recall EME software that showed detecting weak signals. I want to hear
my radio , not see it.... my vision is impaired.
Someone suggested direct conversion phasing RX.
Is there an actual rig kit that can be bought that has that technology
and is that the same thing as
doing the binaural audio project where you take a mono input and get
stereo output that has greater
CW clarity?
Has anyone actually tried this binaural project?
