[HBR] what is the BEST receiver

That, good sir, is a huge question... but as you've stumbled across THE
receiver site for great minds, and talented hands, we would humbly suggest
one of "ours".  Take a look at the webpage, and look at all the pictures -
it's fun, and although it may look a daunting task,.... trust me, most all
of us who have one of these critters, built it ourselves, and back WHEN that
happend, I darned sure wasn't very talented.

I cannot describe the joy you'll feel, when you light up your OWN HBR
receiver, knowing that you made the holes YOURSELF, attached all the bits
and pieces, YOURSELF, wound the coils YOURSELF, and created a thing of
beauty, that NOBODY can say... "Awww, I had one a'them once..."

Tubes generate NO internal noise, as ALL "PN" junctions do, thus tubes ARE
quieter in the noise-floor department.

...and it just gets better from there.
