I received a nice letter from Clint Gorman, K4KRB. In it he indicates
that he built a HBR-14 when the articles first came out and he's like to
see if he can locate one (in any condition). I know there are a number of
HBR-16s and others out there and since I've owned a HBR-14 (don't have
one today) there may be another out there somewhere.

On another note:
I picked up a homebrew low wattage CW 80-10 transmitter which has a
Collins PTO (70E 8A) followed a string of up to four switch selectable
5763 multipliers driving a 2E26/6146 (power is sized for a 6146 and it
says 2E26/6146 in pencil next to the installed 2E26) into a B&W turret
band switch. The whole thing looks much like a Collins 310-B except the
tubes are miniatures vs the 6AG7s which the 310-B uses. The front panel,
typical for homebrew, has no markings. Does anyone remember an article
like that ? The thing which really impresses me is that it's the exact
same size as my HBR-16 .....talk about a cool matching transmitter !!

I might bring it to Belton for a visual assessment.
