Ahoy!  Last year I bought 1/4 lb spools of #22 and #26 enamel coated 
copper wire from Ocean State Electronics, price each $4.95 plus 
shipping.  They have even numbered wire sizes from #14 to #40 in their 
2003 catalog.  They also have Q-dope and even 4, 5 and 6 pin plug in 
coil forms.  Check the current on-line catalog at website

OSE's business, but have had good luck ordering stuff from them.
