[HBR] A few ideas

Perusing the website again, I reminded myself (difficult when the hair turns grey) of a few things I'd like to share:

Wrinkle Black Paint: Harley-Davidson dealers sell a SPLENDID variety of this stuff.. yes, because it says "H-D" on the can, it's pricey, but it's of a thick-film variety and works great.

Lubricating variable-capacitor shafts and similar: "Cramolin"... this is a contact cleaner/enhancer that was developed for B-47's and B-52's, as they were at high altitudes (low humidity) all the time, and controls dried up - it's something akin to sewing-machine oil in consistancy and while DEoxit is better for cleaning, the Cramolin doesn't dry up, so works great on variable-cap shafts and inter-section contact brush pieces. PS - don't use it on TRANSMITTING switches - the stuff conducts at powered RF.

Replacement Dial Face plastic for ACN dials and such: I've found that the really thick plastic that comes on certain packaging for large printer-cartridges and such (you know, the stuff you almost can't cut, and drives you nuts), cut to size, makes terrific replacement for dial-face plastic that has yellowed or been scratched. Personally, I LOVE yellowed plastic dials - it shows USAGE.
