Nice job from what I can see. The "aluminum tray" dial thing is neat - I 
would have submounted the tuning cap and cut a window in the front panel, which 
makes calibrating the dial a much bigger job than your way. 

Two questions:

- is the tray deep enough for pilot lights so yiu can have an illuminated 
dial?

- how did you adapt the BC-453 tuning spline to the knob? Looks like 1/4" 
shaft to me.
