[HBR] Source for crystals

Walt and the group,

I feel your pain! I used to buy odd frequency crystals from ICM or from JAN in Florida, now they are $30-50 each if you can find them.

I have purchased replacement Yaesu BFO crystals from an outfit in Michigan called Ken's Electronics. He is primarily a CB shop, but does have a good selection of crystals at fair prices. The website (probably out of date) shows several Yaesu and Kenwood frequencies in stock. He claims to be able to do a custom order if you need it; my guess is that he saves up several orders to make a minimum and goes through ICM or another crystal house. Anyway, here is the URL:

Hope this is useful to somebody.
