[HBR] Help with old home-brew receiver

I can heartily recommend a visit to the HBR website; if there's a 
resource related to these receivers that isn't available there, I can't 
imagine what it would be.   I believe the link appears at the bottom of 
all posts to this list.

Why don't I stumble on to one of these sets?    Okay, so I guess it 
helps to go to hamfests and such, instead of working on a homebrew 
receiver project ...
