[HBR] AGC vs. limiting

In my CW receiver, I'm wrestling with whether to include AGC or =
limiting.  Limiting sounds preferable, to me, since it clamps the audio =
without leading to timing issues. =20

If this project takes the limiting path, then there is another question; =
use the classic 6AL5 or try a 6BN6.  After reading the papers about the =
6BN6 on the internet, this tube is tempting to try in a two birds/one =
stone approach.  If I understand correctly, you can limit the maximum =
power output by adjusting the potential on the limiter grid.

I'd appreciate any thoughts.
