John (Mobile Engineering) made a very generous offer to try to locate
a transformer but:

I *think* I've got an answer for this project (one or the other of the
'merged' R.S. filament transformers) but I'd be delighted to get one or
a few for the future -- there are easily three more such projects
milling around in my head and I want them *outta there* in the next
year or two!

Ideally I'd wind up with 140-160 VDC 120 ma or so post filter. So
about 140 RMS if not too 'stiff', less if better regulated. 20 VA is
probably ideal as size and weight are always an issue with an
alumium chassis.

In homebrewing, one compromises a bit ... anything close would
probably be scored a hit. Thanks!
