Can't wait for the pictures, Scott. Certainly is good to hear
of another one rescued and being put back into service.
Proves again that they are out there ....you just have to beat
the bushes (or the reflectors) and keep beating the bushes. 
The workmanship sounds outstanding. There certainly were/
are some talented (mechanically and electrically) people out
there. Maybe someone will find Bill McKay's, Bill Hillard's, or 
one of Ted Crosby's original units.  

Before you power it up, you might give it a careful check 
underneath and definitely power it up the first time through 
a variac or put a light bulb in series ....anything to slowly 
reform the electrolytics before you apply full power. Having the 
rectifier "tube" is also easier on the unit than rectifier "diodes". 

As far as a commercial chassis, I'm not aware of any ??
