....not to mention an old AM/FM tube radio at a fleamarket which is 
usually very cheap, maybe has a nice sliderule dial assy, maybe a 
useable power transformer (might be too small, depends on how 
many tubes the radio had), and other useful parts ...maybe even 
a 3 section FM tuning cap. Too bad they don't use 100Khz IFs.

I have an hro gear drive box so question-I assume that will be good for 
tuning an HBR? I think driving a home brew slide rule would be fairly
easy. 
It seems to me I always see old test gear (cheap) at flea markets with
some 
nice looking slide rule dials and mechanisms. BTW Im still working on my
