Tiny Tim was in the August 1971 issue of 73. I have that magazine. I
suppose I would not get into much trouble scanning it and sending a
copy.
I built the Tiny Tim in 1975 and sold it about ten years later. I used
it on RTTY driven by a Hallicrafters SR-150. I drove the socks off it
for 300 watts output to an antenna tuner that was connected with open
wire line to an 8JK wire beam up at 50 feet. That setup was a real
performer on 20 meter RTTY.
Ever since I sold the little amp I have been collecting parts to build
another one. I have most everything needed except the motivation to
actually build it. I have two other amps that are more capable.
At one point I was toying with the idea of upgrading the Tiny Tim design
by using 572Bs in place of the 811s. The 572Bs would fit physically but
I suspect the tank components might not handle the additional power.
