[HBR] Source for main tuning cap found?

I bought two of these caps. They are great caps, but they do have a 2:1
reduction drive built in.
Since I'm planning on using a Eddystone dial, this is a slight problem.
But is a long shaft, so I think I can just cut this of and connect (with
an adapter) to connect between the cap and the dial mechanism.
Also, if your planning on using the built in friction reduction
mechanism is that it is that the size of the inner shaft is pretty small
in both diameter and length. I can provide measurements for this cap if
anyone is interested.
