[aving some e-mail issues…. Let’s try this again…]
Hello everyone…. Hopefully this e-mail reflector is still going to most of you. I think there may be a 2nd groups.io <http://groups.io/> reflector, but I’m not sure of the address. Maybe someone can forward this message. (And send me an e-mail with the correct information to sign-up and use…)
At the December and January meetings we talked about doing a group build. Joe has several old laptop computer supplies his employer donated. He suggested we build the Wall Wart Tamer V2 from Pacific Antenna.

I have checked with James and he will send us kits for a group build with free shipping. IF we order enough there may be a small group discount also. The kits are $20 each. IF you let me know you want one before February 1st, 2019, I will put together a group order.
Also QRPGuys has announced the availability of the EZ WSPR-Pi transmitter module. This is the production version of the small WSPR transmitter I have been playing with a the last 2 or 3 meetings.

I would like to see us do a group build of this for the March meeting. These are also $20. I will take orders at the February meeting or by e-mail until February 15th, 2019. I will order on February 16th. I have not checked but anticipate we can get free shipping or some discount on a group order from Doug and Ken. Here is the link:

I will supply the Wsprry and Raspbian software. You will need a micro SD card. (I will see if I can find a bulk supplier for these.)
I will also bring a MiFi to supply timing signals.
You will need to supply your own Raspberry Pi 3B, power supply, HDMI monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Raspberry 3B’s are available several places. Here are the ones my search engine pop-ed up

There are many more…. Google is your friend. I believe the board requires a Raspberry Pi 3, 3B, or 3B+. Some of the documentation indicates it may work with earlier versions (2…) if anyone want to try…. Check out the documentation on the QRPGuys website.

I’m sure there is more information. t would be great if someone wants to volunteer to find more and bring it to the meeting.
It would also be great if someone is or wants to become a Raspberry Pi expert and teach the rest of us.
