Howdy fellow HBQRP Club Members!

  It has come to our attention the antenna on the club house needs some
maintenance.  According to Darrel Swenson, the 300 ohm twin lead is wrapped
around the metal mast, causing capacitance problems with the antenna.  The
problem is so bad, an SWR of 24:1 has been noted in the past!  After some
discussion, we decided to first try to repair what is up there.  Below is a
list of materials willing to be donated by members:

Pulley - Joe K0NEB
Eye Bolt and Hardware - Joe K0NEB
Dacron Rope - Jim KG0RD

We still need some parts and the loan of some tools:

Muffler Clamps (at least 2) - TBD
Use of Cordless Angle Grinder - TBD
Misc. Tools, and supplies (Wrenches, Pliers, Coax Seal, etc.) - TBD

3 or 4 guys willing to climb the roof and lend a hand or two - Sean AD0QG,
Jim KG0RD, TBD

If we could get in and take care of this before the October 13th meeting,
that would be ideal, and hopefully give us a working antenna to last the
Winter.  If we find it is just impractical to repair the antenna, we have
replacement antennas willing to be donated:

eMail me directly before Sept. 28th so we can take final inventory, acquire
