I have followed these in the past and are always very informative. If you
are not able to "attend" Tuesday, normally towards the end of the week, the
audio file and whiteboard are on the website.

The Chat With The Designer show is happening this Tuesday at 8pm ET, 0100z.
It is our inaugural episode for 2018, and we'll be kicking off a really
exciting theme for all our programs this year: "Test Gadgets You Can Build".

We are keeping with our time-tested approach over the years of providing
good technical detail on the individual Test Gadget under discussion for the
episode, and then building up to something that everyone can construct AND
USE on the bench. You won't be disappointed! See our earlier description
below for more info.

==> IMPORTANT . We meet using Teamspeak, a fabulous audio conferencing
service with a PC/Apple/Android client interface the works very well. It's
really important that you test your computer's ability to log onto Teamspeak
and set up your audio for speaking and listening. Details for doing this
are on our CWTD homepage (www.cwtd.org). N2APB is on Teamspeak most of the
time if you wanted to test your connection in advance of Tuesday's episode.
Just ping N2APB by email to get his attention (callsign at verizon.net).

We hope to see you on Tuesday for the start of something really wonderful
this year on CWTD.

==========================
Hey all,

We're getting ready to kick off CWTD 2018 with a brand new live episode ...
                Tuesday, Feb 13
                8-9 pm EST, 0100 zulu
                On Teamspeak

We'll be introducing our theme for this year: "Test Equipment You Can Build"
... Whatever there is to test, we'll be detailing the design of an existing
(or original) instrument to measure it. It may be a kit. It may be a
design concept that we flesh out for ourselves to build. It may be an
inexpensive gadget that someone else already offers.

The emphasis will be on low cost and buildability. When parts are needed,
we'll be sourcing small runs for those interested in building along with us.
Our episodes will go through the design, build and usage of our "Test Gadget
of the Month". We'll introduce a CWTD Test Gadget in each episode and
spotlight the guys who have built one since the previous episode.

We'll have to hurry and maybe even stick in a extra episode or two, but by
the end of the year each one of us on CWTD will have a bench full of
inexpensive-yet-essential Test Gadgets for measuring and checking out your
projects on the bench and in the field!

Oh yes, we'll also be wrapping up our project from last time (the CWTD
GPS-DO), and we'll have an occasional topic totally hosted by a guest
speaker ... and you'll love the first topic!

So let's get those Teamspeak microphones working again with the computer and
join us in the countdown to CWTD 2018 Episode #1 on Tuesday evening!

 73, George N2APB & Joe N2CX
