This is what happened.  On March 19th,my doctor sent me to the hospital
when an x ray showed my right lung 88% full of something.  He thought it
was lung cancer but it was an infection.  One hospital was able to drain 1
liter of fluid.  A cat scan showed an immense infection had glued my lung
to my chest wall.  I had to be transferred to another hospital for the
surgery.  They scraped another liter of material off my lung and the
surgery was successful.  I had two cat scans with contrast dye that shut
down my kidneys.  The stress of my kidneys and the fluid and infection
weakened my heart.  The worst day was when my blood pressure dropped to 80
over 42 and they had trouble bringing me back.  I came home on April 3rd
and I have follow up appointments with cardiology, nephrology, urology and
pulmonology doctors over the next few weeks.  I am still too weak to care
for myself so my wife is using the Family Medical Leave Act to care for
me.  I am quickly improving and I hope to see you all in May.
