Over on the qrp-tech Yahoo group, Chuck Adams has sort of laid out a
challenge for folks to build an AM Radio.
2014 happens to be the 60th anniversary of the transistor, my how the
world has changed.

There are many inexpensive transistors out there that should work great.
This exercise would also be a fantastic followup for the Oscilloscope
presentation from several months back. We should be able to trace around
the circuit and see how the received signal changes as it flows thru the
radio.
I have found transistor radios that parts could be obtained from at a
number of the thrift stores in the area. Many times less than $5.00 and
would provide many parts we can use.
I hope to have some company on building a working radio.
Hope to see many HBQRP members at the North Bend Hamfest tomorrow.
