[HBQRP] radio in a watch

I am curious:

1. Do you have to wear the headpiece, or can it work without it? The
Walmart add indicates that there is a headset.
2. WIthin what real range have you been able to effectively
communicate, with these?  These must not be full legal power, and,
there is not much of an antenna.

How long does the battery (rechargable, but replaceable?) last with
regular use while hunting down your wife?
