Hi Group,

I thought that I would pass along a couple of web pages that might be of interest to some of

our group.  First is a nice web page on mag loops,  since some of our group is working

on making some for themselves.

http://www.nonstopsystems.com/radio/frank_radio_antenna_magloop.htm

This page has several examples and real world info on building your own.. and even some good

ideas on how to make up tools to make your own tubing bender,

And the 2nd thing, a 'home brew'  Signal generator using a DDS and Arduino Uno controler and sheild

from Kanga UK ( The US distributer is still recovering from a heart attack ).  If you have an Uno

controler get the Arduino "Kanga / m0xpd DDS Shield" - for  £17.50.  Includes a DDS board and

the interface board for your Uno.   Set it up for sweeping filters,  QRPP transmitter or as a test

device for your home lab, or make a vfo for a multiband rig.

I will not be at the next meeting, but will be down for * December * meeting.   One of the HBQRP  guys

at the last QCWA meeting was interested in doing the OSB suppression calibration on

his KX3. so. I am planning on bringing down my XG3 and laptop with elecraft calibration software

to the Dec.  meeting.  All of the group who have a KX3 are welcome to bring it down to be calibrated and

also have the latest firmware installed if you do not have it installed already.
