I'll be partaking in the field day festivities with the Plattsmouth ARC setting up ops at the park in Murray NE. We normally have 3-4 radios with antennas draped over a long line strung off the water tower. We normally work 80 to 10 and occasionally 6M. Looks like WX should be warm and dry so should be a great time where ever you choose to go.

Ray

Subject: [HBQRP] Field Day ?
OK,
The noise (or lack of it) is deafening on this e-list! SO with that thought in mind I am
posting this question to everyone on the group...
IF you are going to be taking part in Field Day, where are you going, and what are you or your group
going to be doing. What bands, are you going to be doing the whole 24 hours?
Heres my plans so far..
I am going to be with the Pioneer ARC at the FD site west of Fremont, NE. Not sure how many
rigs will be running. I offered to bring a rig and antenna, so will see if they need more.
I guess that the DX group out of Omaha is coming out to put a couple of rigs on the air too.
We usually run a generator.. not sure if we will do anything with the Sat's. I have an antenna and rig
but have not tried to work anything in orbit for about 15 years now... :(
We usually have a cook out of some sort... so will have to check on what to bring..(making a mental note to ask about this)
So, what is everyone doing???
