I'll be stuck at work today too. I was sick for a long while there and
there's a heap of repairs to work through.
Regarding my mention of a noise reduction circuit for possible use at
Ozarkcon, it's in Sprat #145, page 6. They call it the 'Plasma Nuller',
as it's intended to cancel the low HF broadband mess emitted by plasma
televisions. It uses a second antenna, much like the MFJ product of a
similar nature. If this circuit has a downfall, it's the dual 365pF air
variable (listed as using a reduction drive) used for nulling. I'm not
sure if you could use a poly, but I think it's a bit too hairy to try to
use a varactor.
