This sounds like a great plan for the meeting... Due to a change of plans I
will be out of town tomorrow...
Build one for me... :) Enjoy the meeting... See you in May (maybe with a
VIP guest)

Subject: [HBQRP] Tomorrows meeting
Hi everyone,
At Ozarkcon, one of the discussion items was magnetic loop antennas.
Dar, Darrel, and myself thought this may be a good "build" item.
If you can make it to the meeting tomorrow, I will have some material for
making the large loop part for this antenna. We should be able to make
antennas that will be good for 10M thru 40M. A 2.5 foot diameter can work
great for say 10 - 15 (maybe 20) Meters and a 5-6 foot diameter can work for
20 - 40 (maybe 80 to a lesser degree) Meters.
Some other items that folks may bring if they can would be:
Hi wattage solder gun
thick solder (.05 or larger) ROSIN core.
#14 or #12 THHN solid copper wire. Stranded may work ok but solid is
better.
spare SO-239 / BNC jacks
dual gang variable capacitors (broadcast type will work for QRP).
Coax and a barrel F-F connectors
Antenna analyzers
1x2 by 3 to 4 feet wood, 1/2 or 1 inch pvc and couplings
Anything else you can think of to help.
Hope to see as many as possible and get a good start on these antennas.
Should also have a good discussion about many aspects of these antennas.
Also bring a laptop or tablet that can work with excel files and we can
look at design information. Will need wireless for this to get excel file
or use online calculators.
Anyhow, hope to see you all there.

Ray - N5SEZ
