[HBQRP] Pocket Specturm analizer hack?

Hi Group,
Found this link on another E-list that has a few people working on an inexpensive spec-analizer..    Thought that maybe a few would be interested in this guys BLOG since some HBQRP group members have been talking about spectrum analizers and VNA's
.  I noticed that the freq's are a little high for HF, but there was one post on the blog about installing an up-converter mixer and a low pass filter to take HF up to the 280-to 310 MHz range.....
Kind of a cool idea... to start off with a $16.00 device as the base and make something useful with some software and a few extra parts! Even though the software as it sits now only runs 3 fairly wide freq steps, I bet it could be adjusted closer with some kind of hack!
