Are there pictures?
Ha, I got caught on the stairs doing just that. She wanted to know how I
was getting from the bottom of the stairs to the radio without the
crutches, Duh!

Back in 1978 I too had surgery on both feet and was off work for 5 weeks
in
February. Had to wear thick plywood shoes with velcro straps and not
bend my
toes at all. Wasn't supposed to be on my feet much. I managed my way to
the
basement ham shack (10 meters was wide open then) by the little kid
method.........sit on your rear on the stairs and lower yourself one
step at
a time and then crawl to the shack. Just couldn't pass up all that 10M
DX as
I has just got a used Tempo One and was itching to try it out.

Ha! I am kind of dragging one foot like Frankenstein's buddy!.
I'm not supposed to go down (or back up) the stairs to the 'radio room'
- Bummer!.
Had stitches removed yesterday, Doc said 4 more weeks on crutches and
stay out of the radio room (Darn). I was going to try and talk Tricia
into bringing my primary project and soldering iron up stairs but when
she said what does soldering iron look like I said never mind.
Oh well
See you all later..
