Darwin W. Piatt Jr. (Dar), U.S.Air Force, Master Sargent Retired (E-7)

Well, Dar, I just want to say thank you for keeping the Air Force
running during those years. I went active in August 1971 and retired in
1995. I learned in my first assignment out of Comm Officer's school
just who runs the AF.

Get this...as a 2nd Lt, I had two CMSgts, two SMSgts, two MSgts, a TSgt,
four GS-9s and a SSgt clerk "working" for me. Heheh. The Chief took me
under his wing and taught me right. My job was to run interference for
the senior NCOs so they can get the job done. That general attitude
served me well all the next 20 plus years.

Best wishes to Zachary. His contributions will make a difference. And
while my son didn't go into the military, I can imagine how you feel
seeing your man going off to serve his country.

73, Jim
