I hope this ends up on YouTube so I can see it. I bought my very first
radio at WRL in early 1965. As we don't have TV, I have to look for it
on YouTube or maybe on the ARRL sight if lucky.

My letter to him earlier this month. I also included my current and my
novice QSL cards.

To: Leo Meyerson
Greetings and Happy Birthday to you, Leo. I am just a ham who was
excited to be able to buy my first receiver from World Radio
Laboratories in 1965 when I was 16 years old. You made that possible.

I first bought the Hallicrafters SX-111 from WRL but after I tried it at
home in Atlantic, IA, I was not happy with it. You took it back and
then I bought a Hammarlund HQ-140X from you. I was very happy with that
radio and used it until I went to college at Iowa State University.

Here was my station back then. Transmitter was a Harvey Wells T-90
Bandmaster.

I hope I am still hamming at age 100 and up. Thank you for helping me
get started 46 years ago.

Best wishes,

Jim Larsen
