Hey,  HBQRP groupies..
Was sitting here looking at this web page, and thought to myself, "Self, this might be an interesting project"..
Anyway.. I wonder if this might be a neat test instrument to build at OzarkCon next year.. So I thought I would throw out this as a suggestion to the group...

Its not fancy like the one Dar built last time., but it could be built out of parts in most of our junk box's.
Anyhow.. it looks like it would be an inexpensive (not to use the word 'cheap') kit of parts that could possibly be made manhattian style (dead bug)..

Notice that it actually uses HF freq's, which some of the other LC meters do not use.  This "should" give a little better results than one that works at low freqs like 100KHz.  The inter-winding capacitance that start to show at higher freq's are taken in to account when measured at the higher freqs.   This effect was a topic of discussion on one of the homebrewer or QRP E-lists last week...
Anyhow... I am looking forward to the next HBQRP meeting. Besides the food, its Lark In the Park weekend!   I want to try out a magnetic loop, and maybe a few other ideas.
I hope to see ya'll there!
