Hi group!

Thought that I would pass along this info so if you have a little extra time you might want to stop by and see some of the members of the PARC group who are putting on a demo for the scouts.  

I have to work this weekend so my time is limited, so I will only be able to 
Make it to the hbqrp group meeting.

For those that can attend, I will have a door prize that I will be giving away.
In keeping with the nature of hbqrp, it will be a kit..  I think who ever gets it will like it a lot.

As PARC was invited by the local Boy Scouts to have an amateur radio exhibit at ScoutQuest 2010, Mel, K0VLA and I will be at Mahoney State Park on Saturday.

we will be in the AdventureLand area of the park.

We have a 2 meter antenna and coax loaned by Rich, KB0ARZ; an R5 vertical and tripod loaned by Lance, WN0L; a generator and 2 meter rig loaned by Mel, K0VLA, and a mast, HF rig and coax loaned by me.  We also have hand-out material from the ARRL.  The local Scouts are providing a tent and tables.

We are taking my truck because I already have a Nebraska Park Sticker on it.  We have room for one more person if anybody else is interested.  We will be leaving between 8 and 830 AM and returning after tear-down at 430 PM.  If anybody comes in their own vehicle you should be able to find us.
