I'm thinking getting on 10 will be fun. I'll be on Mobile on Saturday going
to and returning from our Saturday get together. Listen on 28.395.

Rick Wilson, WØKT, sent me the following email and asked me to
distribute it. He would like to help Omaha stations find each other in
the upcoming ARRL 10 Meter contest. It might be a good idea for all
Nebraska stations to visit the proposed frequencies.

ARRL 10 Meter Contest
Get on 10, Omaha-Council Bluffs area!

DX propagation this year will probably be modest, but you can still
make local contacts. Please be patient and try to work all who can hear
you in case we are lucky enough to have a crowd.

The contest starts at 0000 UTC Saturday, Dec 11 (6:00 p.m. Central
time, Friday evening) and ends at 2359 UTC on Sunday, Dec 12 (5:59 p.m.
Sunday evening). You can work a station once on phone and once on CW.
You do not have to submit a log, but you can enter as phone only, CW
only, or mixed if you do. The exchange is your U.S. state, Mexican
state, or Canadian province. See http://www.arrl.org/10-meter for
details. If you are a 10-10 member, please offer your number so that
some of us can harvest enough 10-10 numbers to apply for 10-10
membership.

Look for local stations especially at on-the-air watering holes (not
taverns). Omaha-area watering-hole times and frequencies are these
(local times):

6:30 p.m, Friday evening (Dec 10) on 28.395 (USB) or 28.095 (CW)
10:30 a.m., Saturday morning (Dec 11), same frequencies
3:30 p.m, Saturday afternoon (Dec 11), same frequencies
6:30 p.m., Saturday evening (Dec 11), same frequencies
10:30 a.m., Sunday morning (Dec 12), same frequencies
3:30 p.m, Sunday afternoon (Dec 12), same frequencies

----------------------------------------------------------
Thanks, Rick.
