[HBQRP] Repeater question

[Piatt, Darwin]

I have two new hams in O'Neill Nebraska who would like to use their new
HT on the local repeater.
It seems that it may have tone or sub-auditable tone on it.
Can anyone help me us figure out if it does and what it is so I can help
them get it going?

146.610  is listed as being in O'Neill.

They both have new Yaesu 1900r's
