Arnie & Group
I'd be willing to help with this and since I live in Lincoln it may be more
convenient for me to be there early and help set up.
Joe...........I'm sure you already have your hands full with being on the
planning commitee for the whole convention so you may be overloaded with
other things. If you guys want, I will call Carla and reserve a table for us
and find out more about the setup time etc. I'd also bring items such as my
SW+40 radio, WM-2 OHR wattmeter and anything else I can think of QRP related
to help fill a table. Does anyone have a nice sign or banner to wrap around
the table to let people know who we are ???? Maybe a "flyer" to pass out
stating our meeting times and dates for those who may be interested ????
Just thinking out loud here and would like to hear others ideas.
Steve/WB0QQT.............forgetful minds says I missed the last meeting also
?????

Hi Joe,
I was wondering if the GROUP would be interested in something like this. I
don't havea lot of stuff that would be worth putting on the table, but if a
few of the group wouldwant to get together and each bring a few items it
would be a very nice display.
Since you didn't mention that anyone was going to do this already, I assume
that it was not talked about at the last meeting, and/or there are no plans
for this by others whoread the reflector..
I really don't want to be the ONLY one working on this, for a few reasons.
I would like to have some time to spend seeing the show, and I feel that
someoneshould be manning the table most of the time for questions and to
tell about the HBQRP group. I don't mind spending a few hours sitting behind
the table, but I do want to see some of the show, and I also expect that
anyone else who would sit behind the table would also.
I don't see anywhere on the web site for the convention where it says when
the doors open, but I expect that it is probably 9 or 9:30 AM? and they dont
say when they close up.
I am not a morning person, and I usually don't get up until noon or 1PM, and
its anhour drive or so to get to Lincoln.. Getting up early, driving down to
the show and setting up a table should probably be for someone who is used
to getting up early in the morning.
I can get going earlier, and will try to get there as early as I can to
help, but since I normally don't go to bed until 5AM or 6AM, I doubt that I
will be there before 10 - 10:30AM. If the group has enough people interested
in this to help out, we could get somepeople to commit to bringing some
items and setting up a time when they wouldbe interested in being behind the
table, I would check into getting a table from the convention.
. The next meeting is only a week before the convention, and I suppose that
we should ask for a table sometime before that if we expect to get a
table...So some plans should be made before the next meeting.
Anyhow, I'd like to see some feedback from the group on this, so I will know
if we are going to go ahead with this or not... Please post to the refector
if you have questionsor comments or would be interested in helping out...
