Good  morning—
I apologize for this “form letter” format but I have this letter going to several individuals associated with QRP clubs as well as several other clubs directly as well.  The reason for this mailing is that I have been asked by Brian Murray, KB9BVN, editor of QRP Quarterly, to look into the possibility of me doing an article on QRP clubs in North America for that publication.
As you might be aware of, I do the Clubhouse column for QRP Quarterly and I am already interested in clubs and their activities.  What I would like you (or someone in your club) to do is write a paragraph or two (or more, if necessary) about your club including:
·        Name of your club (so I am sure of that)
·        # of members
·        What the club is doing now, has done in the past and plans for the future
·        Website, if any
·        Email site for daily (or  whatever) email digest mailings, if you have one
·        Periodic  publications, if any
·        Kits available, if any
·        Club nets, weekly or otherwise
·        Any other club information you might wish to share
Please send your information to me at my email address (wb9nlz at yahoo.com) and have the subject line read “club doings”.  I will look for that subject title.  If you can get the material to me by March 1st, I will have it in the  Spring issue.
If you know of other groups not covered in my mailing, please contact them and pass this along to them, especially if located in Canada, as I have no information about what clubs are  located there.
I know clubs have “gone out” and are inactive like the one I was a member of.  Maybe if we can get this information out, people who were members of such clubs will see that there are other groups to become associated with.
Thanks so much.
Tim
