Per an email from Jim Smith - W0MJY that was read on the 3900 Club Trader 
Net
this morning, Burghardt Amateur Center is closing the amateur radio sales 
part
of their business effective immediately. They will continue to provide 
repair
services under the name of Burghardt Amateur Repair.

Burghardt 
has been in the amateur radio business for 75 years. Jim cited the
current 
economic climate as the reason for closing their doors.

Speculation is 
that they will disburse their remaining stock via their Ebay
Store.
