[HBQRP] 1DIJ ( 1 Day In July)

Many thanks to the folks who showed up and operated for several hours
this past Saturday to help celebrate the first annual 1DIJ event.

I believe the head count was 9 individuals (counting my spouse) and 6
complete QRP stations were up and running.

Everyone helped hang antennas and we were all on the air together.

Two folks had little Solar panels hooked up to keep the batteries going,
not bad.

Antennas were wire di-poles, long-wires, multi band vertical (buddy pole
with multiple coils), one dipole using two mobile Ham Sticks and one
outbacker on the top of a car.  

If you missed this years event, start planning for next year now. 

I would like to expand our effort for next year and operate until later
and wrap up with a group supper, then break down and pack up and go
home.

We have plenty of time to plan.

Next meeting is August 8th, mark your calendars now..
