Wow, here we are on the first day of December already, where did the
year go.

It has been a fun year, some of us went to Branson for 2009 OzarkCon,
some did Dayton, We had a booth set up to display QRP 'stuff' at the
Ak-Sar-Ben Flea market, we participated in a couple of Polar bear
outings and we got together for 1DIJ (One Day In July). That's a good
list and I know I missed something.

This is a good showing for a group that has only been in existence for 5
years as of November 14th. Good work everyone.

A quick reminder that there will not be a meeting in December so the
next one will be Jan. 9th.

As we go into 2010, we are working on another Friday Nite Build project
to the 2010 OzarkCon event. We plan to have another 1DIJ in July ( I
would like to turn this into a 2DIJ and we can operate thru the nite. We
have 3 or maybe 4 members who are Polar Bears and they will try to make
as many outing as they can.

Let's not forget to mention a couple of folks who have helped us make
our group and our projects a success.

*        Doug Hendricks ( KI6DS) (www.qrpkits.com
<http://www.qrpkits.com/> ) who has supported our project from the start
with kits for us (Suddens) and with the Injector/Tracer we presented at
OzarkCon. His donation of parts and kits for our group raffels has been
a tremendus boost to us and out treasury. It was great fun for me to
surprise Doug at the 2008 PacificCon. The look on his face when he say
me walking across the large meeting room was classic. Darrel and I had
great fun putting g one over on Doug.
Thanks, Doug for all your support during the past 5 years, we appreciate
it more than you will ever know and look forward to the next 5 years.

*        Rex Harper (W1REX), (www.qrpme.com <http://www.qrpme.com/> )
famous for his rigs in a tuna can, has supported us with prizes for our
1DIJ event and also raffle items for our 5th year gathering. If you
haven't built a Tuna Tin transmitter or any of the 21 different kits on
his site then shame on ya!
Thanks Rex for your support, we appreciate it a lot.

* And, to my new friend, Dean Davis (N7XG) of Alpine Software.
(www.alpinesoft.com <http://www.alpinesoft.com/> ) who I met for the
first time at PacificCon 2008. Dean and I became friends right off the
bat and keep in touch on a weekly basis. Dean is the 'keeper' of our new
domain and web site (on his server) and helped me get it all set up and
running. Be sure to check out his site, he has some neat software that
he has developed over the years. Besides our site, Dean maintains the
Doug's QRPKITS.COM site and the NorCal site plus a couple others.
Thanks, Dean for your support (and all the goodies) :-)

*        Dale Botkin (N0XAS) (www.hamgadgets.com
<http://www.hamgadgets.com/> ) who besides being an active (?) member of
the group is the supplier of our first kit for our first group build
Saturday, the Pico-Keyer. Dale supplies Ham-Gadgets that are of the
highest caliber. The Pico-Keyer was the first actual kit that a couple
of our members had ever really tried to build and every one of the
supplied keyers worked the first time power was applied. (like magic!).
Dale is currently prototyping our 'secret' Ozarkcon build project.
Our thanks to Dale for his support and for your quality products, if
you haven't visited his site, do so and check out Master Keyer.

So - that is all I have for this time around. I hope everyone has
wonderful holidays as this year comes to an end and I look forward to
our January 9th meeting and seeing what new and interesting projects
everyone has bee working on. stay safe and sound, everyone.

Seasons greetings from Tricia and Dar.
