[HBQRP] 2N2xx kit errata and parts problem..

Hi Group,

Found this on another e-list, and thought that I would 
pass this along since I know some of the group have been
working on these kits.

Several things:
1.  We shipped the wrong 100pF capacitors in the kits.  The ones that we
shipped were not npo.  The way to tell for sure is to look at the top of
the cap, it will have a black dot if it is npo.  We have them on order and
will be shipping replacement caps to every one who has bought a kit.  If
you have not soldered in those 100pF caps, please do not.  Replacements
are on the way.  We know who bought and how many kits so please do not
send us an email requesting caps, that will just slow us down.  We have a
lot of caps to package, address and ship.  remember before any of the
"fixing" can start, we have to get replacement caps from Mouser.  They are
due in next week and we will have to process them before shipping them
out.

2.  Due to the kits having the wrong caps,  we are suspending shipping
until we can put the replacement caps in the kits.  When that happens, we
will resume shipping.  Again, please do not email asking where your kit
is.  Everyone will get their kits.  If you have a confirmation from
paypal, we have your order.

3.  People who ordered by mail.  The kits are being shipped in the order
that we received the order.  If you ordered by snail mail, it took several
days for your order to actually arrive and get in the queue, which by the
second day was over 200 kits long.  Again, please don't email us, it will
just slow up the process.  Be patient, you always have and we really,
really do appreciate it.

4.  If you order by mail and send a check, make it out only to NorCal QRP
Club, not Kathy Long or NorCal Qrp Club via Kathy Long.


We really are trying to get this resolved, and we will.  You have been
unbelievably patient, and you don't know how much that helps us.  No one
foresaw the wrong caps, it happened, and it needs to be fixed.  NorCal has
always made things right, and we will in this case.   Thanks, Doug, KI6DS
