Arnie;
That was a very good answer you provided this person, good job and very well done.
Thanks for taking the time to do that..!
This is the kind of message the Ham community needs to present. We need new folks and we need folks who are enthusiastic about the hobby to make others feel like ‘hey, this might be fun’.
For the rest of ya! – Arnie has picture from the latest get together posted on his picture site, check them out.

Hi Scott! Welcome to QRP radio!
I am not sure what you have for a QRP rig, but most will not generate enough
signal for a QRO SWR meter to work very well.
If you are interested in building something, you can get a simple QRP SWR indicator
from QRPkits on the web. It should work for checking an antenna. Also since it is a
resistive bridge, you will not be sending your signal into a 'bad' impedance while you
are tuning up. At $12.00 its not a bad price.

Since you are using a G5RV type of antenna you will probably need to do some
impedance matching so your rig will be happy with the antenna. You might
want to go with the BLT tuner from QRPkits. It is a QRP tuner kit for balanced line
fed antennas, and incorporates an SWR indicator and bridge into the tuner board and comes with
an enclosure at a resonable price.

Also if you order the tuner, I think Doug might throw in a Keyer kit. I ordered
a few parts and the tuner from him and he thru in this nice little keyer kit for free.

That and this... http://vhunter.smugmug.com/gallery/432246#59756909
would get you on the air with a paddle and keyer! Well, maybe that
paddle is a little over the top...
If you are interested in building more stuff and getting on the air with QRP
you might want to check out the Midwest Home Brew QRP'ers group. We have
a meeting every 2 months.
Here's a link to the "website".. Don't be discouraged, we are still meeting in
Ashland every 2 months even though the website has not been updated in about a year,
and the pictures are not showing up.

If you look at the link for my picture server on this site, you will find a bunch
of pictures from many of the past meetings showing some of the kits and things we
are working on.. and also some sillyness at times!
Hope that helps.

P.S. Google is your friend.. you can find a lot of QRP info out there, check it out!
