OK, folks. I know at least 6 of you purchased one of the ‘sudden’ receiver kits at the last meeting.
Anyone got theirs working yet? Mine is ☺
There is a small prize waiting for the first one to e-mail Darrel and I (or the group) to report theirs it complete and working.
(of course, you will be expected to prove it at the next meeting!!)

Remember the ALT? (Altoids Long wire Tuner) – one of the first things I said once I had mine built was, it would be nice if there were switches on the toroids and not those darn little jumpers. Too hard to reach in there and remove and then I kept loosing them. Guess Doug (KI6DS) of QRPKits.com was thinking along the same lines as he is now offering a version with switches on his site. Go check.

The ALT is a fine tuner and this modification will make it more ‘user friendly’ for those of us with big fingers.

Next meeting should be March 10th, same place, same time. If you have a copy of ‘QQ’ you will see Terry always gives us a plug…
73’s and keep building……

p.s. Doug supplied all the parts for our 'sudden kits'. He is a good dude and does a lot to support Darrel and me in our efforts to keep QRP going here in the mid west. The best way to show our support is to always check his site and buy something from him once in a while. Be sure to mention you are a member of the group. No discount, just good for him to know we support him too!
