Did some one in our group assemble a NorCal 2030 with the embossing gun?

The NorCal 2030 and the FireFly SDR Transceiver were both designed by Dan
Tayloe, N7VE. He wrote an excellent manual for each kit that uses a
similar style of build a section, test a section procedure. I have been
reading the postings about surface mount construction with great interest.
I also watched "Team Snort" at Pacificon in action. While watching them
I wondered if their embossing gun way of building would not be a great way
to build a NC2030 or FireFly SDR Transceiver. Has anyone ever used an
embossing gun to build a section, test a section?? If so, would you
comment on how it works? If you would like to take look at the manuals
that I am talking about, they are available online. If you are unclear as
to the build a section/test a section approach, the NorCal 2030 manual is
at www.norcalqrp.org and the FireFly SDR manual is at www.qrpkits.com (the
FireFly manual is smaller than the NC2030 and will download faster).
