Hello Everyone...
Sorry for the short notice, but just a reminder our next meeting is this
Saturday, November 12th, 2005.
We will be meeting again at Breadeaux Pisa in Ashland, NE. (Same place we
we've been meeting.) They have reserved the party room for us at 11:00 am.
Breadeaux Pisa is located in downtown Ashland, near 14th & Silver Streets.
Breadeaux Pisa is in the middle of the block. Ashland is about half way
between Lincoln and Omaha on Highway 6.
If you are a Nebraska Football fan you have probably noticed there is a home
football game on Saturday. The game is not televised and will start at 1:00
pm. The traffic on highway 6 is usually not too bad on football Saturdays,
but I would not recommend taking I-80 from Omaha to Ashland. I-80 gets
pretty congested at times, especially between the Gretna interchange and the
Waverly interchange. The Ashland interchange on I-80 has also been under
construction, so the best route is to take Highway 6 to Ashland, and then
follow the signs to the downtown area.
If you are coming from Omaha I would recommend Hwy 6/31 or Hwy 370 to
Gretna, then south to Hwy 6 and west to Ashland. From Lincoln I would take
Hwy 6 all the way.
For everyone who ordered one of the SW+ kits at the last meeting, they
arrived in the mail today. I will pass them out at the meeting. I believe
a couple of people are going to work with SW+ kits they purchased
previously. I've also been working on getting all the Elmer 101 material
together and will bring it to the meeting.
If you didn't order an SW+ kit, bring whatever you have been working on. If
you have a project you have been having problems with bring it too. We'll
have a whole room full of "experts" who will be glad to help you. If you
have just finished something, bring it and show it off!
Feel free to come and build, learn, watch, visit, heckle, Elmer, etc. :)
We will start at 11:00 am, adjourn/pause to eat around noon, (Breadeaux Pisa
specializes in Italian pizza and pasta dishes,) and continue until whenever.
:)
See you on Saturday, November 12th...
Darrel Swenson, K0AWB
